Candace Katungi
Candace Katungi is a McNair Alum. Candace did research exploring the Black identity, student success, and group support within Black student organizations. Click below to learn more about her and her research.
Liban Jibril
McNair, FMP, and NACME Scholar alum Liban Jibril earned an NSF GRFP and an internal Northwestern fellowship because of his undergraduate research. Click below to learn more about him and his research.


Joaquin Camacho

Mireille Kamariza

Joshua Young Yang
Joshua is an UR alum that participated in UR programs and conferences as undergrad at UC San Diego. He is a co-founder of a biotech diagnostics startup called Nephrosant and was recently featured in Forbes magazine for his work in innovating the Healthcare industry.
Jaylin Chantel Hanakeawe Stevenson
Jaylin Chantel Hanakeawe Stevenson, a previous McNair Scholar, graduated in 2016 with a Bachelor's Degree in Ethnic Studies and History. Learn what they have been up to since leaving UC San Diego.


Azareen Van der Vliet Oloomi
Azareen Van der Vliet Oloomi was a UR scholar during the 2003 Summer Research Program and graduated in 2004, majoring in Latin American Studies and Creative Writing. She is an award winning author and has published several books.
Robert Walter
