The Mentored Undergraduate Research and Applied Learning Symposium (MURALS), formerly known as OURS, is a poster symposium that showcases the outstanding scholarly work produced by UC San Diego undergraduates in the TRELS, McNair, and Faculty Mentor Programs, as well as select UC San Diego research programs. MURALS also honors Outstanding Mentors, nominated by their undergraduate mentees. MURALS is held annually during spring quarter in late May.

Student Registration
Student presenters, register for MURALS! Registration is currently open and due April 27, 2026 at 11:59 PM.
The Undergraduate Research Hub will be hosting a How to Present at MURALS guide on April 29th at 12 PM on Zoom. If you would like to attend, please register using this link: https://tinyurl.com/How2PresentMURALS2026. If you are unable to make it, a recording will be made available those who register as presenters at MURALS a few days after the event. Please note: registering for How to Present at MURALS is separate from registering as a student presenter at MURALS. Registering for one does not automatically register you for the other.

Calling all guests! Join us for the 2026 MURALS! The symposium will showcase the excellent undergraduate research happening across campus and attendees are encouraged to engage with student presenters of all fields. Priority registration due May 21, 2026 at 11:59 PM. Registering by this date will ensure that we have enough light refreshments for all attendees.
