UR offers UC San Diego undergraduates the opportunity to obtain valuable research-oriented academic or professional preparation in virtually any academic major including science, math, engineering, social sciences and the arts and humanities.

  • CRASSH

    CRASSH

    Conference for Research in the Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities (CRASSH) is a series of events and conferences with the purpose to recognize research done in the Arts, Social Sciences, and Humanities, as well as to encourage UC San Diego undergraduates to pursue research in these fields.

  • Online Undergraduate Research Symposium (OURS)

    Online Undergraduate Research Symposium (OURS)

    Online Undergraduate Research Symposium (OURS) showcases research from Faculty Mentor Program students (sophomores, juniors and seniors) who have worked on their projects during fall, winter and spring quarters. The FMP Symposium expanded its scope and was renamed the Online Undergraduate Research Symposium (OURS) in 2020 to better serve a broader student scholar population during the pandemic.

    Local, Regional and National Conferences

    UR can provide travel funding to students presenting their research at local, regional and national conferences. Find out whether you qualify for travel funds and how to apply!
  • MEDS Conference

    MEDS Conference

    The Medical Education for Diverse Students (MEDS) conference is an all-day event for pre-med, pre-pharmacy, and pre-health undergrad students at UC San Diego and neighboring community colleges. The conference takes place in January or February each year, and is organized by UR's Health and Medical Professions Preparation Program (HMP3).

  • Summer Research Conference

    Summer Research Conference

    The Summer Research Conference (SRC) is an oral presentation conference open to all undergraduates conducting summertime research in the Southern California region. The SRC is held annually as a component of UR's Summer Research Program (SRP). Presentation at the SRC is required for SRP participants.

  • Undergraduate Research Conference

    Undergraduate Research Conference

    The Undergraduate Research Conference (URC) recognizes outstanding scholarly work produced by UC San Diego undergraduates and encourages interaction between students and faculty at the research level. All participating students are nominated by faculty members who have judged their work to be outstanding.
