My name is Stephanie Li and I am an AEP Undergraduate Research Scholar. I'm a fourth-year student at Sixth College, majoring in Ecology Behavior & Evolution.
I have been working in the Shurin Lab for two and a half years and have been mainly studying zooplankton and freshwater ecology.
I got the opportunity to do fieldwork in and around Yosemite National Park this past summer. The project I worked on this summer, that we have dubbed the Fear of Fish Experiment, tested the impact of non-native predators on prey life history. We used mesocosms to look at fish predators and zooplankton prey.
I am planning on getting my Master's through the BS/MS program. I hope to continue doing ecological research that can get me out doing fieldwork in nature.
